Abstract—The use of analytic methods during decision-making processes prevents businesses from taking subjective decisions. In recent times, it is seen that manufacturing businesses use such evaluations in process of selecting the most appropriate material. The purpose of this study is to suggest using the AHP method in the selection of the most appropriate production materials by businesses. In line with this purpose, a sample practice was carried out on the selection of tractor body materials. At the end of the study, it was found that the most suitable body material to be used in tractor production was sheet metal made of alloy steel. It is expected that the findings of the study will significantly contribute to the management staff of related businesses.
